The Smart Device Framework has been freed!
The Smart Device Framework is an essential framework of classes for anyone tackling any serious CF development. It plugs many of the functionality gaps left by the standard CF assemblies.
This framework used to only be accessible to VS.NET 2003 users, as the SDF installer exited if it couldn't detect the presence of VS.NET.
Thanks to Chris Tacke (a co-founder of OpenNETCF.org), this limitation can now be avoided, as the Smart Device Framework is now available as a binaries only download from the SDF download page. The full source code for the SDF (C#) can also be downloaded if required.

Excellent Delphi for .NET CF article
Stefan Cruysberghs has published an excellent Delphi for .NET Compact Framework article on his website. It expands upon my Quickstart guide, by explaining many of the differences between the compact and desktop versions of the .NET framework, and offers workarounds for some of the missing methods.
