My Dream Machine is coming :-)

I've been having problems with the screen on my old (well, 2 years old) Dell Latitiude C810 laptop. I was able to convince my boss to organise a new one for me, and I have just received confirmation that it's been ordered.
The new one is a Dell Latitude D505, and below are some of the highlights:

- Pentium M 1.7Ghz Processor
- 2Gb 333 Mhz SDRAM
- 15 Inch SXGA TFT screen (1400x1050)
- 60Gb Hard Drive
- 4X DVD+RW Combo Drive (4/2/8X DVD+RW / 16/10/24X CD-RW)

Only 7-10 more sleeps to wait :-)....

Updated GoogleSearch OTAPI Add-In

I've finally finished implementing Google Groups searching in my GoogleSearch OTAPI add-in for C#Builder.
I also implemented a rudimentary API to allow other newsgroup archives to be targetted. Nothing flash, but nothing suss..

I highly recommend all C#Builder users to download it and check it out. All comments greatfully received, and don't forget to rate it so I can win a Tablet PC ;-)

Anders Responds

Anders Ohlsson has posted the Delphi 7.1 Update README on his blog, along with some details about the actual release date.

It sounds like it has the same content as the one Malcolm provided yesterday, but with the added benefit of hyperlinks for all QC entries mentioned.

Beat you to it, Anders ;-)

Malcolm Groves, from Borland Australia provided the ADUG with details of the ReadMe file for the upcoming D7 update. It can be viewed here.

Disclaimer:In his tardiness defense, Anders Ohlsson stated that he was "..waiting for all SKUs to get signed off. The README could change if some last minute gotchas are found."

The definitive version should be on BDN later this week.
